Where has the summer gone? Suddenly it seems a little bit colder and Autumn leaves are starting to fall….
Intrinsic – A Textile Jewellery Exhibition curated by Mandy Nash has been touring this year to the following venues so far;
Craft in the Bay, Cardiff
Nicola Hurst Designer Jewellery Gallery, Plymouth,
and now just in time for the Autumn is on show at Leeds Craft and Design Centre.
Here launches another part of the ‘Seasons’ Collection which is rather aptly named ‘Berry Autumn,’ which I’d like to share with you….
This new collection Seasons – ‘Blue Summer’ (also on show) and ‘Berry Autumn’ is inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, patterns and prints.
Highly intricate decoration is made up of an eclectic mix of floral, geometric and linear marks flowing across beautiful screen printed silks in vibrant shades of blue and pastel soft blue reminiscent of summer hues. Berry shades have been introduced as autumn approaches, perfect for this time of year! Patterns transcend upon delicate embossed Fine Silver frames to create a jewellery range consisting of earrings, pendants and scarf neckpieces to be worn alone or with complimentary and co-ordinating scarf jewel sliders.
Here are a selection of images of what’s on show, what do you think of the new colours for Autumn?
Work is on show until the 17th October! and then travels to Cursley & Bond, Folkestone!
