Exciting developments are happening as we are approaching the festive season.. I know it’s that time of year already!
Last weekend I went to the premier screening of singer/ songwriter, Milly Winter‘s new release, ‘By the River’ held at Ego performance company in Coventry. The place is quite hidden away in the city centre but once found, this venue was lovely – intimate, with a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a great place to present the film and perform a set from the band. The band sound great live and Milly’s singing is gorgeous. Their tunes are so catchy, I gotta buy an album.
If you have been reading previous posts I have been creatively collaborating with Milly and Gareth Partington (photographer) and making new jewellery pieces that are worn by Milly in her video.
The last video being ‘Betty Said’ was set in the 1930’s and was such a wonderful experience we’ve continued to work together. You can watch this fab video here.
‘By the River’ is quite fitting as we approach Halloween next week, when people seek out a little darkness, and maybe watch a sinister film or two….
Please check out the video. You’ll notice an underlying tone of darkness throughout! it’s worth the watch!
This video is a mini film, beautifully shot and directed by band member Val Vallis. It’s Victorian inspired, featuring photography stills by Gareth Partington integrated to tell the story sung by Milly with great artwork by Val too and character portraits of the band. Gareth and Lucy Haddleton co star along Milly. Now I won’t give too much more away, so be sure to view.
I created neck pieces to mirror the character acted by Milly, you can read more detail in a previous post about these items of jewellery here.
So let me know what do you think of the video?
What do you think of the jewellery? Would you like to see more of this style of jewellery available to buy?
I’d love to know what you think? Please comment below and thanks for reading!
