Now spring is here and the sun is out…! I am continuing to examine my jewellery practice and the love affair with my creativity.
Whilst currently I am working full time in my day job I am lucky to be a Senior Technician at The University of Wolverhampton working in the area of Textile Print and Fine metals, I am working with students and around creativity everyday. Its during these times ideas bubble away for future projects and developing my own work while supporting and nurturing creativity in aspiring students.
Recently I had a fabulous opportunity to produce some pieces of jewellery for up and coming singer and songwriter Milly Winter in her music video ‘Betty Said.’
You may spot me in the video too as I’m an extra in there too! I think you’ll agree Milly looks stunning & beautiful wearing the pieces I made specifically, drop earrings, multiple necklaces and decorative dress straps for the video based upon the 1930’s era and Art Deco style. These pieces were made up of layering neck-pieces to create a truly decadent and glamorous look. Gold plated components combined with pearls, jewels, crystals and smokey quartz.
This is a range that I am developing into a collective range so watch this space for more details and enjoy these portrait photographs taken by talented visual artist, illustrator and photographer Gareth Partington.
So what do you think? Do you like this range?
What’s your favorite style era of style?
